Georgia center recently visited OVC school

Rashad Armstrong, a 6-foot-9, 260-pound center from Savannah (Ga.) High School is a hot prospect for a number of schools in the Southeast.
The big man cleaned the glass (15 rebounds) last week in the state playoffs for the Blue Jackets but saw his senior season end to city rival, Beach High School, in an overtime battle.

Tucked away on the Georgia coastline, Armstrong may be a new name on the national radar even as a senior but colleges have found him.
Armstrong said Bowling Green, Eastern Kentucky, Jacksonville, Stetson, Tennessee State and Wofford are all recruiting him. An honor role student, Armstrong will have little problem getting acclimated to the college academic load.
He recently took an official visit to Tennessee State. It was his first official visit and doesn't have any immediate plans to use his other four. At least not right now.
"I really did like Tennessee State," Armstrong said. "They have a nice gym and just renovated their gym. It was really nice."
Armstrong averaged 10 points and 10 rebounds this season and his hoping to find a program that helps develop him even more.
"In high school basketball, it is really guard oriented so I'm looking for a school where I could get some playing time and gets the ball in the post so I could show what I'm capable of," he said.
