Gay Makes Decision

Seward County C.C. in Liberal, Kan., has a pair of rising sophomore forwards who have already given oral commitments to Division I programs.
Brandon Gay, 6-8, 215 pound combo forward from Houston, Tex., has committed to San Diego, while as we reported back in March, 6-7, 220 pound power forward Alex Adediran from Atlanta, Ga., has orally pledged to Binghamton.

According to Seward Asst. Coach Swede Trenkle, Adediran will visit Binghamton in the fall, and is expected to sign with the America East program in November during the NCAA early signing period. Adediran averaged 10 points and 7.8 rebounds per game last season at Seward.
Gay spent a year and a half at Southern Mississippi before opting to leave the Conference USA school at the Christmas break. He sat out the 2000-2001 school year there as a non-qualifier, and appeared in just three games this past season for the Golden Eagles.
Gay will play the 2002-2003 season at Seward and will have two years to play at San Diego, which is a member of the West Coast Conference. He will make his official visit to the school in September, and is expected to sign a national letter of intent with the Toreros during the early signing period in November.
