Gatewood hoping for more options

Miles Gatewood is hearing from some programs but the Portland (Ore.) Westview is going to take the summer, play in a lot of tournaments and camps and then figure out which teams are the most interested in him.
Colorado, Portland and Portland State are the main players right now for Gatewood, a 6-foot, 160-pound point guard who said he's probably most comfortable with Portland so far since it's close to home and he's been on campus a bunch of times.

"I'm just getting a whole bunch of letters, that's really it," Gatewood said. "I'm getting letters from Colorado, Portland and Portland State. Pretty much that's it.
"I go up to the University of Portland a lot because my AAU team scrimmages against them and there are a lot of open gyms and stuff.
"I've talked to the Portland State coaches but I haven't been on their campus yet. I went on a visit (to Portland) and they showed me around the school and the campus, it was really cool."
Gatewood said thus far he hasn't followed Colorado much and doesn't know much about the Buffaloes' new coaching staff but he's interested in learning more.
He's going to play in a bunch of AAU tournaments this June and July, probably attend some camps and then will try to figure out what's happening with his recruitment.
At this point, he's more concerned with playing well and getting noticed and then he'll see which program would be the best fit for him.
"I'm going to keep playing AAU and there are a lot of tournaments in June and July but I think my coaches are sending me to a lot of camps but I'm not sure which ones yet," Gatewood said.
"I don't think a lot of coaches come up to Portland so it's good to travel around. I don't really have a favorite. I'm just kind of holding out right now."
