Gary Ervin: Prep School Possible

Rivals Hoops caught up with explosive Robeson point guard Gary Ervin Tuesday night at the IS8 league in Queens as the personable Brooklyn native took in the action. Gary updated us on his recruiting situation and which programs are in hot pursuit of this elite run and jump athlete.
"I'm definitely going to prep school," said Ervin, who goes about 6-0 and 175-pounds. "I'll probably go to either Notre Dame Academy in Massachusetts or Winchendon."

Ervin has a pack of Big East schools that are in contention for him, as well as pair of Conference USA schools.
"My top five are Seton Hall, Rutgers, Miami, Pittsburgh, and Cincinnati," said Ervin. "They've all offered. And Memphis has been calling recently."
Gary, who recently helped Riverside Church reach the finals of the Boo Williams Tournament in Richmond, is an exceptional athlete who excels in the transition game. Ervin had previously helped the Church to the CYP Tournament championship two weekends ago in Portchester, NY, helping his crew upend the New Jersey Roadrunners and earning Tournament MVP honors.
Ervin led Robeson to the PSAL championships before falling to the Sebastian Telfair-led Lincoln team.
The exuberant point man is unsure when exactly he will make his decision.
