Gary Ervin Has Many Offers

Gary Ervin, an offensive minded, 5-11 point guard from Robeson H.S. in Brooklyn, N.Y., put on an offensive display on Saturday at the PSAL quarterfinals.
Ervin erupted for 42 points against Park West in a 79-58 Eagle victory. Ervin is an explosive offensive player blessed with good athleticism and strength, yet he also can run the point slot in an up tempo style of play.

Robeson Head Coach Larry Major told the Insiders Report/Rivalshoops.com that Seton Hall, Rutgers, Providence, Texas A&M and Hofstra have all offered Ervin scholarships this winter.
The only issue standing in the way between Ervin and college is academics. Ervin has not yet achieved a qualifying SAT score, but Major said he expects Ervin to have a 2.5 in the core. If so, Ervin will need to score an 820 on the SAT.
At the PSAL quarters on Saturday, an assistant coach from Texas A&M was on hand to scout Ervin.
IR will keep you posted on Ervin this winter and into the spring signing period, so stay tuned.
