Gary Ervin Expected To Return Soon

Gary Ervin, a 5-11, 170-pound guard from Paul Roberson High School in Brooklyn, New York, expects to be back soon for the Long Island Panthers, according to his AAU coach Gary Charles.
Ervin had another obligation this past weekend and could not play at the Lehigh Valley Jam Fest. It appears Villanova has worked Ervin hard and is also certainly involved with players like Curtis Sumpter, Jason Fraser, and 2003 target Charlie Villanueva.

Ervin is a sparkplug for the talented Long Island Panthers AAU program under Gary Charles. Ervin runs the show and helps set up such talented forwards as Lenny Cooke, Sumpter, and Fraser with his assists.
Ervin averaged 16 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists last season as a junior at Roberson. He is quick and is excellent in transition. "I am hearing from a lot of Big East schools," Ervin said. "But recently I have been hearing from Maryland. They have always been a dream school for me."
Recently, Maryland landed talented guard Chris McCray. But Ervin is still interested in Maryland. "I am open right now," Ervin said. "I will just listen to the schools that call me next month and decide on a list late in the summer."
