Gary Ervin Changes List

Gary Ervin, a 5-11, 170-pound guard from Paul Roberson High School in Brooklyn, New York, has added Villanova to his list of schools, according to his AAU coach Gary Charles.
"Villanova is in real strong," Charles said. "And Gary is definitely interested in him."

Villanova is also involved with Jason Fraser and Curtis Sumpter. Ervin is AAU teammates with both of those players too. It appears Jay Wright is back in New York recruiting hard and trying to grab the talented threesome of the Long Island Panthers.
Ervin is a sparkplug for the talented Long Island Panthers AAU program under Gary Charles. Ervin runs the show and helps set up such talented forwards as Lenny Cooke, Sumpter, and Fraser with his assists.
Ervin averaged 16 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists last season as a junior at Roberson. He is quick and is excellent in transition.
"I am hearing from a lot of Big East schools," Ervin said. "But recently I have been hearing from Maryland. They have always been a dream school for me."
Ervin had been hearing though from Maryland before they landed talented guard Chris McCray.
