Gardner ready to announce
Memphis and Mississippi State have waged an intense recruiting battle over four-star shooting specialist D.J. Gardner. On Friday we will find out who won.
Gardner, a 6-foot-6 wing from Okolona (Miss.) High School, will announce his college decision Friday at 11:00 Central according to his travel team coach Gary Caveness of the Da House club.
The No. 60 ranked prospect in the Rivals150, Gardner was considered a Memphis lean after his midnight madness visit. Mississippi State, however, made up ground and has possibly overtaken Memphis after hosting Gardner on an official visit this past weekend.
