Khaliq Gant, a 6-foot-3, 177-pound point guard from Tabor Academy in Marion, Mass. has cut his school list to seven schools.
"Schools that are recruiting Khaliq are Stanford, Notre Dame, Columbia, Cornell, Harvard, Yale and William & Mary," his father Dean told RivalsHoops.com on Friday.

He added, "There are others, but we've eliminated them due to his academic requirements."
"And we're setting up his visits," Gant said. "It's starting right now with an in-school visit (at Tabor Academy) from Joe Jones of Columbia."
The first official visit is on Sepember 20-21 at Cornell and then the Gants are tentatively scheduled to visit Harvard the following weekend. In October, Columbia will be visited on October 17-18 and the family is tentatively schedule to visit Stanford the following weekend and William & Mary on Monday and Tuesday, October 27-28.
"Khaliq averaged about 18 points per game and shot over 60 percent from three point range last season," Mr. Gant added.
This summer Khaliq Gant, who's from Atlanta, Ga., was at Peach Jam with the Georgia Stars and at the AAU Showcase and AAU Nationals with Youth Prep Stars. He also worked out in Chicago with a trainer.
"As you can see the common theme with his schools are strong academics," he said. "Khaliq has a 3.8 GPA and has scored an 1175 on the SAT. He is however taking the SAT again on Oct 11th, because he wants to raise his score to the 1300 area. Khaliq is also President of the Senior class and is delivering the opening convocation speech today at Tabor."
