Future150 national camp wrap-up

Atlanta, GA- The Future 150 National Camp continued to showcase top talent as the camp finished up on Sunday afternoon. The Top 20 game consisted of plenty elite players from the 2011 and 2010 classes. The camp was well represented by the likes of Cedrick McAfee, Joshua Richardson, Rion Brown and Dominique McCoy.

(2010) Players

Rion Brown-(Liberty County H.S.-Hinesville,GA) the 6-foot-5 inch 180 pound shooting guard showed tremendous athleticism when attacking the rim in transition. His high flying dunks and mid range jumpers were on display as he dismantled the competition. The University of Miami commitment came out and showed he loves to compete.

Jonathan Thomas-(IMG Prep-Miami, FL) the 6-foot-1 inch 175 point guard is a crafty player that knows how to play the game. He has a great feel and can knock down the mid range jumper with consistency. His quick feet and athletic ability allowed him to score in transition which clearly sets him apart from the rest. Thomas is receiving interest from SE Louisiana, Louisiana Tech, and Miami.

K.C. Ross-Miller-(God's Academy-Dallas, TX) the 6-foot-1 inch 180 pound point guard was a familiar face as he continue to impress with his athleticism and cunning ability to get to the rim and finish. With the improvement of his 3 point shot, Ross-Miller show the ability to score from anywhere on the floor. He has the ability to guard both guard positions and defend 94 feet. Ross-Miller has offers from Nevada, Florida International, Baylor, Texas A&M, and Oklahoma St. Last week UCLA called inquiring about the high major prospect.

Kevin Williams-(Pearaland H.S.-Houston, TX) the 6-foot-0 inch 175 pound point guard sees the entire floor in transition as well as in the half court. He has a tremendous feel and is like having a coach on the floor. His quick feet and big body allows him to take contact when finishing drives to the rim. He has high major qualities and is a true point guard. Williams is receiving interest from Cal Poly, Wichita St and Utah.

Ryan Pierson-(CBC H.S.-St. Louis, MO) the 6-foot-10 inch 230 pound center shows a great feel and touch around the basket. He has the talent to play with his back to the basket and turn and face. His ability to run the floor and finish with either hand makes him a tough guard. The 12-15 foot jumper was no problem as he made them with consistency. Pierson holds offers from Detroit, Northeastern, Ball St., Kent St, Loyola Chicago, and most of the Ohio Valley conference.

Quince Jackson-(Frisco H.S.-Frisco, TX) the 5-foot-10 inch 150 pound point guard was the fastest player in the straight line shuttle run during combine testing. He is very quick and pushes the ball in transition. His ability to see the floor and knock down the mid range shot makes him a dual threat. His long range jumper is improving which will prove to be one of his strengths as the season progresses. Jackson projects as a mid major prospect.

Chris Davis-(Stockbridge H.S.-Stockbridge, GA) the 6-foot-2 inch 180 pound combo guard was scoring and passing the ball all weekend long. His quickness and ability to handle the ball in transition clearly made him stand out. He can also get to the rim and finish in a variety of ways. He has a good feel for the game and makes all of his teammates better. Davis has an offer from Mercer and is receiving interest from Georgia, Jacksonville, and Western Carolina.

Devonte Drinkard-(Stephens Academy-GA) the 6-foot-8 inch 220 pound power forward was one of the most physical players at the camp. He showed good athleticism when rebounding and finishing. His has the skill set to put the ball on the floor with his back to the basket which allowed him to get the rim with ease. He ran the floor extremely well for a guy his size and finished even better as he dunked the ball with authority.

Joshua Richardson-(Edmonds Santa Fe H.S.- Santa Fe, OK) the 6-foot-5 inch 180 pound small forward is a tremendous athlete with quick feet. His ability to make shots from all 3 levels on the floor makes him a defensive nightmare. For a player his size, he has the talent to block shots in transition as well on the perimeter. Overall, he was one of the top players at the camp and is a high major prospect. Richardson is receiving interest from Baylor and Witchta St.

LeAntwan Luckett-(Ridgeland H.S.-Ridgeland, MS) the 6-foot-4 inch 180 pound shooting guard is extremely athletic and has quick feet. He can guard both guard positions on the floor. His thrives at absorbing contact and finishing in the paint. His 3 point shot has vastly improved. In transition, he is tough to defend as he scores in bunches. He has high major written all over him. Luckett is receiving interest from Alabama, Georgia, Ole Miss, Miss St. and Memphis.

Cedrick McAfee-(Craigmont H.S.-Memphis, TN) the 6-foot-2 inch 180 pound comp guard is really athletic and has the ability to defend both guard positions. The 3-time camper has shown fast improvement from the 3-point line over the summer. He has the ability to score from the perimeter while also getting to the rim and finishing with contact. He is a high major prospect. McAfee has offers from Tennessee, Clemson, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Missouri, Miss St., Wake Forest, UTEP, Alabama and Memphis.

JaQuez Motley-(Faith Baptist Christian-Hinesville, GA) the 6-foot-1 inch 170 pound point guard shows a good first step and the ability to get by his defender anytime. His athleticism allows him to get into the lane and create while also knocking down the mid range jumper. He sees the floor well in transition and makes his teammates better on the break. Motely has offers from Auburn, Georgia, Georgia St. and is receiving interest from Miami and Georgia Southern.

Waylan Siverand-(L.V.Hightower-Fresno, TX) the 6-foot-6 inch 165 pound small forward was one of the most athletic high energy players at the camp. His length and quickness gave him the ability to guard multiple position and score in transition. He showed the ability to finish at the rim and make the 3 point shot. Siverand is receiving interest from Pepperdine and UCLA.

Kedren Johnson-(Marshall County H.S.-Lewisburg, TN) the 6-foot-5 inch 210 pound point guard showed off his ball handling skills as he carved up the competition in transition. The big bodied guard can score from anywhere on the floor especially when getting to the rim off the bounce. He has a great feel for the game and is a natural floor general. His court vision and leadership qualities set him apart from the rest. Johnson is receiving interest from Tennessee, Alabama, Ole Miss, Georgia and Florida.

Dominique McKoy-(South Atlanta Christian, Atlanta, GA) the 6-foot-7 inch 185 pound small forward was clearly one of the best overall scorers in the camp. He can take a defender off the dribble or step back and knock down the mid range and 3 point shots. His athleticism allows him to finish above the rim. McKoy has offers from Georgia, Auburn, Georgia St., Georgia Southern and is receiving interest from South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Florida St and Clemson.

Jaylen Houston-(Hillcrest H.S.-Tuscaloosa, AL) the 6-foot-3 inch 170 pound combo guard showed off his athleticism as he attacked and finished at the rim. Just a few of his assets was his ability to see the entire floor and dunk the basketball in transition. He has a great first step and can lull his defender to sleep with his ball handling skills. This rangy guard has the ability to score on all 3 levels of the floor. Houston is receiving interest from Alabama, Ole Miss, UAB, Murray St. and Miss St.

Josh Swan-(Pace Academy-Atlanta, GA) the 6-foot-2 inch 175 pound combo guard shows a great burst when attacking the rim. He has a good feel for the game and sees the floor well in transition. His ability to make open jumpers from mid and long range makes him a triple threat scorer. He can guard both guard positions and has the ability to get to the rim and finish. Swan has an offer from Tenn Tech, Georgia Southern, Wofford and Mercer. He is also receiving interest from Georgia, Central Florida and South Florida.

Cedric Bowen-(Woodstock H.S.-Woodstock, GA) the 6-foot-6 inch 205 pound power forward had the most athletic play of the all-star game as he took off down the middle of the lane and dunked on the defender. He has shown the most improvement with is mid and long range jumpers. His ability to run and score in transition seems to be his strength. He is very strong and has decent length which allows him to guard multiple positions on the floor. Bowen has offers from Tenn Tech, Georgia Southern and is receiving interest from UNC Greensboro and Georgia St.

Ryan Riggins-(North Gwinnett H.S.- Gwinnett, GA) the 6-foot-9 inch 200 pound power forward is an extremely long rangy player that can block shots with the best. His ability to run the floor and finish in transition is clearly his strong suit. He likes to turn and face and attack his defender off the dribble. His length and quickness allows him to guard multiple positions. Riggins is a solid DI prospect.
