Frustrating year for 2007 Woods

Brandon Woods is not having the type of junior campaign that he originally expected. While the 6-foot-7, 205-pound combo forward from Benedictine High School in Cleveland, Ohio, has had a productive year, the same cannot be said about his team. It has been a frustrating year at times for Woods and his teammates.
"We are 5-11 right now and not playing too well," said Benedictine head coach Rob Stricula. We don't have too much help inside, so it's been tough on Brandon. He is showing signs of being a great player and can be force next year for us.

"Brandon has good moves for a player his size and has blocked a lot of shots for us," he added. "He just needs to add some strength, which will be a big help to him."
Despite the fact that Woods and his Benedictine teammates are having somewhat of a difficult year, a number of programs have expressed an interest in the 6-foot-7, 205-pound combo forward.
According to Stricula, no schools have dropped by to check in on Woods, but four schools in particular are showing a sincere interest in the Ohio product.
"Brandon's recruitment is going okay," said Stricula. "Oakland, IPFW, Cleveland State and Dayton are the schools showing the most interest in Brandon right now. I don't believe any of those schools have been by to watch him play, but they are interested in Brandon.
"Brandon really does have the ability to be a force for us next year," he added. "This has been a very tough year on him, but if he adds some strength, he will be a force for us."
