Friday visitor for Texas AM

It happens each and every summer, a player comes from off of the radar to attract tons of high major attention. This summer, 6-foot-8 power forward Jonathan Holmes from San Antonio (Texas) Antonian Prep fits into that category.
Thanks to a string of inspired performances with the San Antonio RoHawks during the month of July, Holmes has become one of the hottest big men targets in the country.

Friday, he'll take an unofficial visit to Texas A&M and he's already set up his first official visit.
"I am going to Texas A&M tomorrow for an unofficial visit," Holmes told Rivals.com. "Then Texas for Labor day. Texas is an official."
An athletic kid who can face up and shoot jumpers or attack off the dribble, Holmes quickly became a favorite of college coaches. They see him as versatile, hard working and with a high ceiling for improvement.
Plenty of them have been looking to get involved as well.
"Pretty much all of the Big 12," said Holmes when asked who is showing attention. "Florida, Vanderbilt, Virginia and Boston College. I can't really think of the rest."
No specific timetable has been set, but many close to the situation feel that the Aggies and Longhorns have the inside track for a verbal from Holmes.
