Freshmen of Note MIA at Jamboree

Two of Indian Hills' better known freshmen -- Greg Brown (right) and Nick Kern -- did not attend the recent Central Missouri State Jamboree held in Warrensburg, Mo.
Brown, a 6-1 combo guard from Milwaukee, Wis., and Kern, a 6-7 forward from St. Louis, had committed to Division I programs prior to enrolling at Indian Hills C.C. in Ottumwa, Ia.

Brown pledged to Miami (FL), although as a non-qualifier out of Vincent H.S. in Milwaukee, he'll need to do a two-year stint in junior college prior to enrolling at any Division I school.
Kern, a 210 pound power forward, signed with the St. Louis Billikens last fall, but failed to qualify academically out of Vashon H.S. in St. Louis, Mo.
Brown did not attend the jamboree due to injury, while Kern was kept back at the school due to IHCC Head Coach Lorenzo Watkins' discretion.
Both Kern and Brown could play vital roles this winter in Indian Hills' quest for a Region 11 crown, and you can count on Rivalshoops.com to keep you posted on both players' progress this season.
