French PG headed to CAA

Community Christian School in McDonough, Ga., is becoming a hot spot for Division I programs. Linzy Davis saw another one of his players pick the DI route this week as point guard Baptiste Bataille made his pick.
Bataille, a 5-foot-10 point guard from France, officially visited Northeastern over the weekend and decided that he was ready to verbally commit to the program. Davis said the Colonial Athletic Association program landed a good one.

"To me, they got a steal in Baptise," Davis said. "They have a really good point guard right now at Northeastern and they are saying he's going to the league. So they are planning on Baptise to come in and replace him."
Bataille is a disciplined and heady point guard with a solid frame and ultra-quick speed at the point guard position. Bataille is a confident shooter that knows how to take it to another gear in the open floor.
"He's a tough as nails player that has good experience with the French Junior National Team," Davis said. "He reminds me a lot of Teddy Dupay (who played at Florida in the 90s)."
Academics played a big part in his decision, too, says Davis.
"One of the reasons why he picked Northeastern was the fact that they have a marine biology major and that is what he wants to study," Davis said.
Community Christian recently saw Solomon Tat commit to Virginia. Forward Petras Balocka looks like the next senior to make his pick. He visited Northeastern with Bataille. Balocka is looking at East Tennessee State, Georgia Southern, Lipscomb, Western Carolina, Jacksonville and North Florida.
