Freer Commits To Eastern Michigan

When Nick Freer returned home from his official visit to Eastern Michigan, he knew his recruitment would soon end. The 6-foot-6, 195-pound shooting guard / small forward from Lakeshore High School in Stevensville, MI., had four official visits scheduled, but only needed the visit to Eastern Michigan to make a decision about his future.

“I’ve given a commitment to Eastern Michigan,” Freer said. “I had arranged official visits to Kent State, Western Michigan, Western Kentucky and Old Dominion, but I never took any of those visits. It was a situation where some of those schools had received other commitments, but I really liked Eastern Michigan.

“I had visited Eastern Michigan before, so I was familiar with their program,” he added. “I really like the entire coaching staff and my family was happy with my decision as well. I plan on going in and playing some at the shooting guard and some at the small forward position.”
