The recruitment to land the transfer of California University freshman guard Gary Franklin didn't take that long.
Shortly after announcing that he would be leaving Mike Montgomery's program, the 6-foot-1 guard has found a new home. According to sources close to the situation, Franklin will enroll at Baylor and join Scott Drew's program.
A four-star prospect who ranked #78 overall in the class of 2010, Franklin produced as a freshman at Cal. He started many of his 13 games for the Golden Bears while putting up 8.2 points (on just 29.7% shooting) and dishing out two assists in 25.7 minutes a game.
Franklin will be eligible after the completion of next year's fall semester and will be a sophomore with 2.5 years of remaining eligibility.
