Francis Recruiting Interest Could Grow

Another Cincy State player with a chance to go Division I is 6-2, 180 pound sophomore point guard Damon Francis. A qualifier out of high school in Springboro, Ohio, Francis is a very solid floor general who gets his teammates involved.
He sees the floor well and played very well at Vincennes last weekend. According to Cincinnati State Asst. Coach Joe Fowler, Division II powerhouse Kentucky Wesleyan and NAIA stalwart Georgetown College (KY) have shown quite a bit of interest is Francis.

With a solid sophomore campaign at Cincy State, it's conceivable that Francis could wind up on the low Division I level.
Two other Surge players with Division I level talent will likely go the D-II or NAIA route due to academics.
P.J. Sanders, a 6-6, 190 pound scrappy workhorse from Cincinnati, Ohio, will wind up at the D-II or NAIA level due to academic/NCAA clock issues. Leonard Campbell, a 5-10 pepperpot from Canton, Ohio (who starred a few summers back from All-Ohio Red), will probably wind up at a Division II program due to academics. He is an undersized two guard who can really stroke it.
