Four top Millers list

A 35-2 record and a run to the 3A state semifinals was quite a year for the Maurice Miller led Raleigh-Egypt High School from Memphis, Tenn. Miller, a 6-foot-1, 183-pound point guard, has four schools headlining his list.
"It's pretty much the same schools recruiting me," said Miller, the No. 82 ranked prospect in the class of 2007. "I'm getting the most interest from Tennessee, Georgia Tech-Coach Hewitt was at my state tournament games, Memphis and Illinois."

Already having visited Georgia Tech, Miller would like to take a couple other unofficial visits this spring.
"I'm ready to line up some more visits," he said. "I'm trying to get to Tennessee and Illinois next."
Set to play for the Memphis YOMCA AAU club, Miller will be at The Real Deal on the Hill and The Kingwood Classic in April. He is hoping to carry on the momentum of his high school season.
"We made believers out of people this year," he said. "We went past people's expectations for us."
In his two state tournament games, Miller averaged 17 points, 5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 2 turnovers, 1 block and .5 steals per game.
Maurice Miller scouting report:
A very physical lead guard, Miller has a good feel for what it takes to lead a team to victory although he is not overly athletic. Able to defend penetration and then get into the lane himself, Miller excels at distributing the basketball. More of a midrange scorer himself, Miller needs to extend his shooting range.
