Four-star wing makes his pick

If four-star small forward Xavier Sneed wanted some mystery around his college decision, he got what he was looking for.
It wasn't until the 6-foot-6 wing from Florissant (Mo.) Hazelwood Central took the airwaves of St. Louis television station KSDK to announce his decision that it became clear that he was going to select Kansas State.

Ranked No. 92 in the class of 2016, Sneed is an important win for the Wildcats' staff because they had to find wing help for the 2016-17 season.
With only Wesley Iwundu returning next season as a wing with much experience on the roster, Sneed can help to push what will be an overall young group of talent.
Sneed is an athlete who will be immediately ready for the Big 12 physically. He flies up and down the floor in transition and he's a highlight reel finisher at the rim. Though he isn't known for his jump shot, Sneed is actually a pretty good shooter when set and he already has three-point range. Defensively, he has a chance to be a star and if he can upgrade his ball handling a bit he has a chance to make an immediate impact as a freshman in Manhattan.
Sneed was targeted heavily by the Wildcats early in his junior season and is the first player from the class of 2016 to pick Bruce Weber and the Wildcats.
