WESTFIELD, Ind. -- Off to a strong start to the spring with Meanstreets in Nike's EYBL, four-star wing Damezi Anderson has seen his recruitment start to take off.

The product of South Bend (Ind.) Riley has been adding lots of offers and interest of late.

"UConn, DePaul, Xavier, Creighton, and Dayton have all offered," Anderson told Rivals.com. "Wisconsin and Indiana have also started to show interest and they're just telling me to keep playing my game."

One of the new offers in particular caught the strong and tough junior by surprise.

"I was surprised by the UConn offer," said Anderson. "I didn't see it coming but I'm just going to keep grinding and playing hard. They said they were just interested in my game and told me to just keep getting better."

Anderson has also been surprised by how tough the competition in the EYBL has been. But, he's adjusting and working to add to his game.

"Playing out here is much harder then high school," said Anderson. "Everyone out here wants to win so you just have to go after it. I've been working on my ball handling, playing hard, defending and keep shooting the ball consistently."

When it comes to making a decision, like so many others in the class of 2018, Anderson is in no rush.

"I'm going to narrow down all my schools to a list at some point," said Anderson. "Not too soon but maybe later on in the season."
