Four-star junior Will Richardson made his reputation as a shooter and scorer. Now he'd like to transition to the point guard in hopes of elevating his recruitment and status.

Playing more with the ball in has hands, things have gone well so far this spring for the 6-foot-3 Richardson, who is averaging 12.2 points, 4.8 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game while playing in Nike's EYBL with Each 1 Teach 1.

"I'm playing pretty well. I have been stepping it up a bit and have become more of a lead guard. I know that before the spring started people had me as a combo guard but colleges are starting to see me as more of a big point guard.

"I can lead the team, I can score. I want to play point guard on the next level."

Richardson's play during the spring has allowed him to rack up the offers. The latest programs to offer him scholarships are USC, Wake Forest, Clemson, Florida, Xavier, Texas A&M, Wichita State and Butler. They join a group of schools that had already offered including Auburn, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Tennessee, Rutgers, Arizona State and VCU.

So far, Richardson says that he has seen the campuses of Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Auburn and Clemson. Though he's not currently favoring anybody, Richardson says to expect some more visits soon and he will have a list by the end of the summer.

"I'm not going to cut down the list until after the summer or the beginning of the school year. But soon I'm going to sit down and look at things and maybe take a few unofficial visits to schools I haven't been to so I can get the process moving."
