Four-star point guard Tremont Waters picks Georgetown

Another huge recruiting domino fell on Wednesday afternoon when 2016's No. 36 ranked player, guard Tremont Waters, announced his decision at the Farnham.

A 5-foot-11 four-star point guard at West Haven (Conn.) Notre Dame, Waters announced that he will attend Georgetown after also taking visits to Indiana, Georgetown, and Kentucky over the last month.

"I want to thank all the coaches that recruited me," said Waters during his announcement. "But after many discussions with my parents I will be attending Georgetown University."

For a while, it looked like Indiana had taken the lead in Waters recruitment but over the weekend he took an additional visit to Georgetown.

"Allen Iverson is a great example of what I can become or better," said Waters. "Also the feeling I had when I went to Georgetown. Everybody pretty much welcomed me into their family and I feel like I will be a member of their family for my entire life and long as Georgetown is on the Earth."

The Hoyas have plenty of available moments at the point guard position and though Waters isn't the most physically strong player, he is highly skilled and a very capable shot maker. After seeing campus a second time, he was sure in his decision.

"I made my decision on my second visit to Georgetown," said Waters during his press conference. "On my official visit I didn't really watch the basketball side because they were touring us around campus and showing us the academic side. When I was there the second time I got to see them practice and that pretty much wrapped it up."
