Four-star wing Kimani Lawrence made a trip home to announce his college decision Saturday.

The 6-foot-7 small forward who attends New Hampton (N.H.) Prep announced from the Davey Lopes Recreation Center in his hometown of Providence, R.I. that he will play his college basketball at Arizona State.

"After careful consideration I have decided that the place for me to continue my education and basketball career is Arizona State," said Lawrence in the press conference.

The addition of Lawrence who ranks No. 48 nationally in the class of 2017 is not one to be taken lightly.

He has prototypical wing size and is an excellent transition finisher. In the halfcourt he loves to operate along the baseline and has developed into a good mid range jump shooter.

Maybe the biggest key to Lawrence's game is his versatility. As teams move towards creating more and more mismatches with skill and athleticism, Lawrence is capable of playing the power forward in a small ball type of lineup.

Lawrence joins a class that already includes Rivals150 point guard Remy Martin.
