Noah Taitz is already ranked among the top guards in the country in the 2020 class. As the floor general for national power Bishop Gorman in Las Vegas, he’s off to a terrific start averaging 17 points and 4 assists per game before a foot injury took a few games from him.

On the recruiting side of things, Taitz says he’s been hearing from most of the Pac-12 along with Memphis, Northwestern, UNLV and Vanderbilt. He took his first official visit last month to Washington and has also taken recent trips to Stanford and USC.

IN HIS OWN WORDS

Taitz talked about his most recent visits.

Stanford: “I really liked it. I’m scheduled to go on an official visit there in March. What stood out the most there is the quality of the people there.”

USC: “I really liked it there. I took a little tour around the campus with one of the assistants to check out all their facilities. I spoke to the head coach for a little bit. The weather there is the best of anywhere I’ve been.”

Washington: “It was great. I liked it a lot. I’m big on the coaching staff, and I’ve built a really strong relationship with their coaching staff over the years because they have been recruiting me the longest. I’ve been there a couple times now and I like it up there.”

RIVALS' REACTION, WHAT'S NEXT?

It’s probably safe to say the three schools Taitz has seen most recently are in the best spot in his recruitment right now. In saying that, there is long ways to go as he doesn’t plan on making a decision until the start of his senior year. The relationships he’s built with the coaches on Washington’s staff seem to be pretty deep -- assistant coach Dave Rice's brother Grant Rice is Taitz's high school coach -- and have the Huskies in great shape early. The academic piece at Stanford really has his attention as well. His most recent trip to USC gave him a chance to build a stronger bond with the Trojans staff, but he really seemed to love the campus life and the weather in Los Angeles.
