After making an early commitment to BYU, the nation's No. 31 ranked junior, Frank Jackson, is back on the market.
A 6-foot-2 combo guard at Highland (Utah) Lone Peak, it wasn't easy for Jackson to back out on his early pledge, but after taking time to consider things, he just wasn't ready to shut down his recruitment.
"I just wanted to see what was out there and what my options could be," Jackson told Rivals.com about reopening his recruitment. "I'm not saying that BYU isn't an option, I just thought it was a little premature to have made a commitment."
Since opening things back up, Jackson has earned additional offers from Arizona, Arizona State and Utah. Stanford simply needs to see more grades before offering while UCLA and Duke have both shown some interest.
"They like that I'm aggressive and that I can score the ball," said Jackson. "The coaches, they also like that I can involve people. They see me as a combo guard.
"It really doesn't matter to me if I'm looked at as a point or a combo. I can score the ball but I like to pass as well."
After making a quick choice the first time around, Jackson doesn't yet have a timetable for when he will make his final decision. Most likely he will take his time, and he has a mental checklist.
"I'm going to look at three things," said Jackson. "I will look at what they can provide for me basketball-wise to help me get to the next level. I will look at academics, and then I will look at what type of environment there is on campus."
