Four-star junior Drew Timme sees his game and recruitment moving forward

The game continues to move towards one based on skill and for that reason four-star junior big man Drew Timme continues to see a rise in his stock.

A big and strong kid, Timme looks like the kind of guy who would set up shop on the block. He can do that, but he's also more comfortable when he plays facing the basket.

"When some guys see a big man they are like he can't dribble, he can't shoot and all he can do is make rebounds and block shots," Timme told Rivals.com. "I can get a rebound and go with it and make some point guard plays and I'm opening up the floor some with my shooting.

"I think it's just second nature for me to look to pass the ball and open things up for people. I want to get a consistent three pointer. I can do it but I don't step out and do it enough and I want to get that."

On the recruiting front things have started to pick up for Timme.

"Gonzaga and Oklahoma are really the two hitting me hard right now," said Timme. "I've heard from USC recently, they are kind of the newest one. TCU has been on me hard and Texas A&M is starting to recruit me a bit more."

Timme has been to Gonzaga, Oklahoma and TCU and discussed each.

Gonzaga: "It was a great trip. The sell they gave me was the long list of people who have been good in their system and who have made the NBA. They think I could be one of the next players to fill that role because I'm not a traditional big."

Oklahoma: "I like them a lot. I really like what they are doing especially with getting a guy like Trae Young. I feel like they will be back to being a really good team this year."

TCU: "I love what TCU is doing. Coach Dixon is really changing things around there and I'm excited to see what they can do. I already went up a couple of weeks ago to watch them play ULM and that was just a great game to watch."

Moving forward, Timme is in no rush to make a decision and doesn't anticipate cutting anything down until the summer of 2018.

"I have no timetable, I don't really know," said Timme. "I would assume that halfway through the summer or closer to the end that I would start to have some idea of when I'd cut it down.
