WICHITA FALLS, Texas-- Four-star junior forward Blake Hinson first hit the scene as a high school freshman earning big time football offers. Now focusing on basketball, he's got high level offers there and after a move from Florida to Kansas for his junior season is considering another move.

The 6-foot-7, 230 pounder says that the decision to move to Bel Aire (Kans.) Sunrise Christian has been a good one.

"I've loved the move so far," Hinson told Rivals.com. "I've gone from 247 to 230 pounds since getting here. That was the main reason for the move, to get dedicated to getting better and to being a better athlete.

"The lost weight has helped out a lot. Defensively I'm a lot better because I'm moving better and I'm more explosive."

At Sunrise, Hinson has had the opportunity to play against high level competition and he's getting himself into a position academically where he may explore graduating early and enrolling as a 2018 prospect.

"Florida State, Miami, SMU, Ole Miss, Memphis, Central Florida are some of the schools on me for either 2018 or 2019," said Hinson. "South Carolina is really on me too. They haven't offered yet because Frank Martin says they don't just throw them out and want to do it in person or on campus."

A strong and skilled player, Hinson can really shoot the ball from deep and has a tremendous feel for the game. When he's locked in, he's tough to stop because he can play as either a faceup four man who is tough enough to guard bigger players or a jumbo wing who can punish smaller wings in the block.

For now, Hinson says that he's in no rush to make a decision on which school he'll attend and whether he'll do so as a 2019 or 2018 prospect. However, the fact that he can even entertain enrolling a year early is going to make him an even hotter commodity and there's no doubt he'll have choices before the season finishes.

"I'm not in any hurry and I'm not planning on making my decision for a while," said Hinson. "It's going to be my personal decision what to do and is going to be based on how much I feel like I improve this year and if I'm ready for college or need to stay in 2019."
