IN HIS OWN WORDS

North Carolina: “That was big time winning the championship. Knowing all the guys on the team and one of my good friends Kennedy Meeks, I was really happy for them.”

Duke: “They had a really good team. They always get talent every year. It was tough they got knocked out early this year, but they’ll be back next year with Wendell (Carter) coming in.”

Kansas: “Frank Mason had a heckuva year. They’ll be back in the mix next year too. That’s another really good program.”

Arizona: “I thought they were going to go a little deeper, but things happen in March Madness. Sean Miller has done a really good job there.”

WHAT’S NEXT?

Hamilton said he hasn’t spent much time thinking about a decision nor has he spent much thinking about when it when it will happen. His best guess right now is after travel season at some point.

RIVALS’ REACTION

With his relationship with the players and coaches at North Carolina, it sounds like the Tar Heels might have the edge from talking to Hamilton. They certainly have the momentum right now after cutting down the nets last week, but they also couldn’t have chosen a better time to get Hamilton on campus than the Duke victory at the end of the season. The other powerhouse programs involved won’t go down without a fight though if they decide Hamilton should be a priority.
