Four-star guard picks Mississippi State

One of the top guards in the country in the class of 2012 is off the board Monday morning. Craig Sword has made his pick and will play his college ball in Starkville, Miss. for the Mississippi State Bulldogs.
While the destination wasn't so much of a surprise, the timing was a bit surprising.

Just over a week ago at EYBL session #1 in Hampton, Sword had indicated that he would likely wait until the end of summer to announce his choice.
However, the 6-foot-2 combo guard from Montgomery (Ala.) Carver had a change of heart.
"Craig just knew where he wanted to go and called Coach George Brooks at Mississippi State this morning and committed," Carver head coach James Jackson told Paul Jones of BulldogBlitz.com. "They recruited him hard and he just felt it was the best fit for him."
A four-star prospect who currently ranks #63 nationally in the class of 2012. Mississippi State also recently signed Sword's high school teammate , Roquez Johnson, a class of 2011 forward.
