Four-star forward has Pac-10 favorite

Class of 2009 prospect Colin Borchert doesn't want to drag out his decision. The 6-foot-8 forward from Mountain Ridge High School in Glendale, Ariz., would like to end his recruitment by the year's end. And there is a Pac-10 program sitting on top of his list at the moment.
Borchert, a top 100 prospect in the class of 2009, recently spent time with Tim Floyd, O.J. Mayo and the rest of the Southern Cal program.

"I took a visit to USC last Monday and it went pretty well. Overall, I like the campus and the staff they have there. And their new arena is really nice. Everything on their campus is nice," Borchert said.
"They are number one right now. I like everything about the program. I'm going to wait. I want to take some more unofficials to other colleges. But USC is on the top right now."
A return trip to USC is in the works as well as a couple of other Pac-10 programs in the next couple of months.
"I am going to go back to USC for a visit and Cal. I think those are the two big ones right now," he said. "I will probably go out to a (football) game at Arizona State."
Nevada, Kentucky, Arizona, Washington, Washington State and Oregon are also looking at the four-star prospect. Location will play a part in his decision, he said.
"I really want to play somewhere that my parents can see me play," Borchert said. "That's pretty important."
Borchert added he'd like to end his recruitment relatively soon, too.
"I want to make a decision by the beginning of my basketball season or the middle part of the season, like the Christmas break," Borchert said. "It will be sometime this year."
