Four-star big goes with Memphis

Things at Memphis took a very pleasant turn on Tuesday.
Josh Pastner and his staff received news that Shaquille Goodwin would be a Tiger.

Then, after speculation that he may not announce as initially planned, Goodwin tweeted to the world that he's Memphis-bound.
A 6-foot-8 power forward from Decatur (Ga.) Southwest Dekalb, Goodwin is the No. 26 player overall in the 2012 Rivals150 and clearly a big pickup.
Athletic with a penchant for running the floor and rebounding at a high level, Goodwin is one of several big men being targeted by Memphis and an important pickup.
Because of the way he plays and can move around, he's capable of playing with any of Jarnell Stokes, Tony Parker or Alex Poythress, while also lessening the sting should Memphis miss on any or all of those guys.
Throughout the process, Goodwin has insisted that he would like to play both football and basketball in college. Still, no final decision has been made on that.
Goodwin joins his Atlanta Celtics teammate, Damien Wilson, a four-star wing, in Memphis' early recruiting class.
