Four school race for Cooks

Brandon Cooks, a 6-foot-7 forward from Genesis One, is one of the top unsigned players in the class of 2007 and now that the season half way over, he is winding it down on the recruiting front.
Between playing in events across the country, including a strong 20-point performance on Monday at the Flyin' to the Hoop Inviatioal, Cooks is paying close attention to who is paying attention to him.

"I'm narrowing my schools down right now," Cooks said.
Tennessee, Southern Miss, Duquesne and Missouri have made the cut and the three-star prospect is weighing his options with each of the schools. The Vols are the only program that have not offered yet, he said.
"With Southern Miss, I like their style of play. I'm a longtime friend of the assistant coach (Kim Lewis)," Cooks said. "With Tennessee it would be a great fit for me also. So is Missouri."
Cooks said he will start taking visits next month in order to get a better idea of the schools on his list.
"It's going to be real important on these visits," Cooks said. "The style of play and the school in general is what I'm looking at the most. I want to make a quick decision but I also don't want to rush into anything. They are all equal. I have until April to figure that out."
