Four ACC schools to visit Wright

One of only two underclassmen along with Greg Oden to be named to the Parade All American first team, Brandan Wright has four schools scheduled to visit him during the approaching contact period. All four visitors are from the ACC, but with the looming NBA age limitation, expect many other schools to come calling on the 6-foot-9, 201-pound combo forward from Brentwood (Tenn.) Academy.
"Duke, North Carolina, Wake Forest and Georgia Tech are all coming in to visit Brandan," said Brentwood Academy head coach George Pitts. "Funny how it is all ACC schools so far."

For quite some time it appeared that Wright was settling on a top three of Duke, North Carolina and Kentucky. At the same time several schools were backing off on their recruitment of Wright, the No. 2 ranked player in the class of 2006, due to the assumption that he was headed straight to the NBA. Now that Wright has expressed a more open approach to his recruitment and the strong possibility of an age limitation being instituted by the NBA, schools like Wake Forest and others are likely to become involved with Wright.
Wright is coming off a very successful season, winning a third consecutive state championship and winning a second consecutive Mr. Basketball title for the state of Tennessee. He will play again with the Murfreesboro Stars this summer.
