Fortson pleased with Arkansas visit

Last weekend four-star point prospect Courtney Fortson enjoyed his official visit to Arkansas. It was the first official for the 5-foot-10, 175-pound point guard from the Patterson (N.C.) School, who is also listing three other schools.
"I really enjoyed the visit," said Fortson. "I was impressed with the basketball tradition at Arkansas and the passion of the fans. They have good coaches there, and I also liked the campus."

Along with Arkansas, Fortson is also listing Kentucky, Tennessee and Florida State. He claims offers from all of these schools and said he is in the process of trying to schedule official visits.
Fortson, who is now at the Patterson School to work on his academics, won Mr. Basketball in Alabama last season. He is the No. 61 ranked prospect in the Rivals150.
Courtney Fortson scouting report:
Undersized but a dynamic player, Fortson is an excellent competitor who defends and rebounds. Offensively, the lefty is fast with the ball and can finish at the rim. He shoots it well off the dribble, but does have room to improve the consistency of his outside jumper.
