Fortson picking up offers

On a mission this spring to prove his worth as a high-major prospect, four-star point guard Courtney Fortson has successfully made his point. Recently, three high-major offers have rolled in for Fortson.
To date Tennessee, Arkansas and Florida State have offered the 5-foot-10, 175-pound Fortson, who is planning to attend The Patterson School next year. Fortson is also being recruited by Missouri, Minnesota and Kentucky.

"Those six schools are pretty much who I am hearing from," said Fortson. "Right now I have a top three of Tennessee, Missouri and Florida State. I like the style of play of those schools, and I'd have a chance to start and run the point. All three are up tempo teams with great coaches."
Fortson, who would like to chose a school at the end of the summer, plans to spend some time on a few college campuses.
"I'm going to Kentucky's elite camp this weekend," he said. "I want to visit Tennessee in a couple weeks and then hopefully see Arkansas at the end of the month."
Fortson is coming off a successful outing at the Tournament of Champions where he was named to the all tournament team and led his Southeast Elite team to the final four.
Courtney Fortson scouting report:
Undersized but a dynamic player, Fortson is an excellent competitor who defends and rebounds. Offensively, the lefty is fast with the ball and can finish at the rim. He shoots it well off the dribble, but does have room to improve the consistency of his outside jumper.
