Foreign Pickup In ACC
Engin Atsur, a 6-4 combo guard from the country of Turkey, committed to North Carolina State today, according to sources close to Atsur. It was only recently that Atsur finished up his visits.
His last visit was to Texas and Rick Barnes' basketball program. Atsur, 18 years old, will be a senior in high school this season and eligible for the 2003-2004 season.

Atsur, who possesses good perimeter skills and can handle either backcourt position with effectiveness, had already taken trips to Siena, North Carolina State, Georgia Tech, and Clemson. Sources had told us that NC State and Siena were very strong in this recruiting process.
Many who have seen Atsur play in person (RivalsHoops.com has not) tell us that Atsur can shoot the long range ball and also distribute when given the opportunity to handle the basketball. He is not fast (as far as the footwork) but is capable of being a good college basketball player.
