Foreign PF Has Three Offers

Dion Dacons, an active 6-6, 205 pound power/combination forward from Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, Va., has enjoyed a fine week here at the Nike Peach Jam Tournament.
Dacons, who is playing for the Charlotte Royals at the tournament, turned in a 22 point, six rebound performance on Monday night in a 62-56 pool play loss to the Illinois Warriors.

After that game, Dacons told the Insiders Report/Rivalshoops.com that he has been offered scholarships by Clemson, DePaul and Delaware.
In addition to those three programs, Dacons also listed Richmond, Indiana, N.C. State, Wake Forest, Stanford, Tennessee, Virginia Commonwealth, William & Mary, Old Dominion and UNC-Wilmington. He has unofficially tripped to N.C. State and Wake Forest.
On a loaded Oak Hill Academy squad, Dacons averaged seven points and six rebounds per game in a reserve role.
The thing we liked most about Dacons was his aggressive play and his relentless assault on the basket all game long. He hits the offensive glass hard from the wing and is also an effective scorer in transition settings. He can put the ball on the floor a bit with effectiveness, but just for short stretches.
Dacons said he has a 3.6 GPA and scored a 1060 on the SAT. Following the Peach Jam, he will wrap up the summer with the Royals at the AAU Nationals. We'll keep you up to snuff on his recruitment, so stay tuned.
