Foreign Big Man Now Getting Looks

Andrea Crosariol, a 6'10'' 245 pound center from Long Island Lutheran High School in Brookville, New York, on Long Island, is a post player who hasn't gotten a whole lot of recognition over the course of his senior season.
Crosariol recently posted an impressive performance in the semifinals of the New York State Federation championships. Crosariol logged 16 points, 16 rebounds, and 3 blocks against Christ the King, perennially one of the better programs in New York City, although his team lost a 74-58 decision.

While his senior season has wound to a close, Crosariol is still looking for a college. Many schools have inquired, among them Xavier, Creighton, Buffalo, Farleigh Dickinson, Lehigh, Canisius, and Stony Brook, but the big man does not yet have any serious suitors.
"There's nothing really definite at this point(with his recruitment)," said Ronn Hall, coach at Lutheran. "Just a lot of inquiries."
Crosariol is a native of Italy, who is originally from the Venice area. Last season he played at The Winchendon School. This past season he averaged 10 points and 12.5 rebounds for Coach Hall.
Hall has coached a number of Division I players over the years, most recently Maryland's Drew Nicholas, Seton Hall's Alex Gambino, Boston University's Jacob Kudlacz, and Maryland-Eastern Shore's Brandon Wilson. Hall sees Crosariol as the next in line of Division I prospects.
"He's very proportionate(in size)," said Hall. "He takes up space, and he's agile.
"He's got all the moves and pivots down. He just needs the confidence to use them. There's a lot to work with and build on."
Crosariol is in good standing with the NCAA Clearinghouse, maintaining an 81 average. He has scored 900 on the SAT.
