Ford Will Wait Until Spring

Khalif Ford, a 6'0'' 175 pound combo guard from Diamond Bar High School in LaPuente, California, is probably going to wait until late before signing.
"I'm ninety-five percent sure that I'm going to sign late," said Ford. "I'm just looking for the best situation. I'm pretty much open."

Ford has fielded interest from Georgia Tech, San Diego State, Pepperdine, Boise State, UNLV, Cal St. Northridge, and San Jose State. Boise State and Northridge have offered.
Ford is considering taking an unofficial visit to San Diego State, as well as official visits to Boise State and Georgia Tech. He can likely trip to the California schools without using up an official trip.
Khalif, who competed this summer with The LA Rockfish, impressed Rivalshoops.com with his quickness and explosiveness this summer, although he was hampered considerably by a knee injury. Ford had an operation to remove a piece of cartilage that was floating around his knee before the summer, and it has taken some time to heal up. Months later, Ford told us that he has regained his explosiveness and is feeling "good as new".
Khalif could be a nice catch come spring. He is solid in the classroom, carrying a 3.0 GPA. He has scored 980 on the SAT, and is taking the November 2nd SAT.
