Ford Has 2 Major Offers

Khalif Ford, a 6-0, 170-pound combo guard from Diamond Bar High School in La Puente, California, has caught the eye of some major conference programs.
Ford, playing with the LA Rockfish at the Adidas Three Stripes Tournament this past weekend at Hofstra. Ford is explosive, quick off the dribble, and elevates well on his jumper. He is comfortable catching and shooting or shooting off the dribble. Khalif possesses good lateral quickness. He has a nice frame to work with.

Ford had heard from Oregon, DePaul, North Carolina, Nebraska, and Connecticut. Oregon and DePaul have offered. DePaul head coach Dave Leitao was in attendance on the second day at one of Ford's games. Both the Conference USA program and Oregon have extended scholarship offers.
"I'm open for anybody right now," said Ford. "But right now, I like Oregon and Depaul. I like the coaches at both schools.
"I plan on taking one official visit maybe at the beginning of the school year. I'm not sure where I'm going to go."
Ford, who averaged 18 points and 8 assists this past season at his high school, will attend the Las Vegas Big Time Tournament and the Best of Summer Tournament with the LA Rockfish.
Khalif carries a 3.0 scholastic average. He has scored 980 on the SAT.
