Forbes Will Take 5 Visits

Gary Forbes, a 6-6, 190-pound junior WG/WF from Benjamin Banneker Academy in Brooklyn, New York and Riverside Church, told us he plans on taking five official visits -- to Georgia Tech, Virginia, North Carolina State, Connecticut, and Notre Dame.

He also has interest in St. John's, Providence, UMass, Boston University, North Carolina, Syracuse, and Penn. But the five schools above are likely to be the only schools Forbes considers in his eventual decision. "I don't want to rule anyone out," Forbes said. "But I like my top five right now."

Forbes, who had a great start to his summer, was given mixed reviews at the Showcase last week in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. Forbes clanked two key free throws which led to a game winning basket against Riverside. "I went home immediately," Forbes said. "Then I went into the gym and shot 1,000 free throws."

It has helped. Forbes was selected to the Eastern Invitational All Star game.
