Forbes Has Top 5

It wasn't the way Gary Forbes wanted to end his summer with the Riverside Church. Faced with the tough task of draining some foul shots late in the game last night against Team Memphis, Forbes couldn't convert the free throws. Team Memphis went down the court and scored the winning basket with three seconds left.
But Forbes did have a great summer. He had a terrific Rumble in the Bronx and a solid NIKE camp. He will next play in an All Star game in New York City on July 31st.

"I have been hearing from North Carolina State, Connecticut, Notre Dame, Virginia, and Georgia Tech a lot," Forbes said. "But I haven't ruled out other schools."
Forbes, a 6-6, 190-pound junior WG/WF from Benjamin Banneker Academy in Brooklyn, New York and Riverside Church, told us he also has interest in St. John's, Providence, UMass, Boston University, North Carolina, Syracuse, and Penn.
The Heels were on hand to watch Forbes' last game of the summer with Riverside Church here at the Super Showcase.
"I have to go back into the gym and keep working on my game," Forbes said. "Then I can think about where I want to visit. I will probably set those visits up next month."
