Forbes Excited About UVA
Gary Forbes, the outstanding 6-6 swingman from Benjamin Banneker H.S. in Brooklyn, N.Y., said he signed his letter of intent with Virginia. "I think I will fit in there well," Forbes said. "I like the style of play. I like running up and down the court."
Forbes is a player who is likely to get some McDonald's All American consideration. He is a talented offensive player from New York City who committed to Virginia over Georgia Tech.
Forbes previously had some interest in UConn, Cincinnati and Mississippi State. Forbes averaged 25 points, 11 rebounds, six assists, three blocks and one steal per game last season at Banneker. RivalsHoops.com will catch Forbes in action this season at several games.
