Fontan finds new home

Fordham transfer Jio Fontan visited a couple schools in December after leaving Fordham and has found his fit in the Pac-10.
First the former Rivals150 prospect and 5-foot-11, 160-pound point guard visited Miami. But after his visit to USC this weekend, Fontan knew he wanted to be a Trojan.

"The biggest thing for me was coming up with the cons of the different schools," said Fontan. "I really couldn't come up with a con for USC. The biggest plus for USC is how Coach O'Neill is and how he can develop players. He does the workouts himself and doesn't rely on assistant coaches. He's really positive about getting the team into the NCAA tournament. With the recruiting class coming in and the frontline coming back, we should be really good."
Fontan averaged 15 points per game as a freshman for Fordham. He will enroll at USC for the second semester and will become eligible next year for the second semester.
