Fofana in No Hurry

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA -- He might be relatively new to this country, but Hassan Fofana is learning to develop a good poker face when it comes to his recruitment.
So what better city to catch up with Fofana than Las Vegas, where the 6-9 center from West Africa was helping the Middlesex Magic to an opening round victory on Monday afternoon at the adidas Big Time Tournament.

RivalsHoops.com's number 94 player in the class of 2003, an active and aggressive 260 pounder, plans to return to Africa this Saturday, July 27. He won't return until August 17, and sometime between this weekend and the middle of next month, he plans to narrow his list to around 10.
Fofana said he has scholarship offers from UMass, Rhode Island, Michigan State, Ohio State, Purdue, Wisconsin, Clemson, Florida State, Maryland, Virginia, Wake Forest, Boston College, UConn and Notre Dame.
Despite rumors that have certain schools out in the lead, Fofana said he's going to sit down with his family when he returns to Africa and hash out a top 10 list.
While picking out a college could be a grueling process for Fofana, it appears that he has settled on a high school next year. He told Rivalshoops that he will be attending Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham Va., where he will play for Head Coach Mike Preston.
When Fofana bangs out his list of finalists, we'll let you know via an update on the website, so stay tuned.
