Florida State picks up big guard

Heading into his weekend visit with Florida State, most figured that Montay Brandon was leaning towards the Seminoles. In fact, a post visit commitment wouldn't have been a surprise.
It turns out the 6-foot-6 point guard from High Point (N.C.) Wesleyan Christian didn't even need the weekend decide.

Just a few hours into his official visit, Brandon texted news from Tallahassee.
"I've committed to FSU!", Brandon texted Rivals.com. "I chose to commit because it's the perfect spot for me.
"I see how coach Hamilton develops his guys and I want to play on that level beyond college."
A four-star prospect who currently ranks No. 59 nationally in the 2012 Rivals150, Brandon is a highly versatile player. He can play effectively as a point but his size and athleticism allows him to play either the two or three as well.
"I see myself playing the one through three," said Brandon of how he'll be utilized. "Using my versatility my advantage."
The Seminoles already hold commitments from four-star prospect Aaron Thomas who ranked #56 in the class of 2011 but is doing a year of prep school. Also on board is three-star combo guard Devin Bookert from Alaska.
