MORE: Class of 2014 Rivals150
For years, Leonard Hamilton has put tough, physically strong and athletic players on the floor. On Tuesday, he added another player who fits the bill.
One of the toughest pound for pound prospects in the country, 6-foot-7, 250-pound Cinmeon Bowers of Marianna (Fla.) Chipola College.
A native of Milwaukee who has overcome some off-the-floor incidents, Bowers is as mean and nasty as they come on the floor. He turns offensive rebounding into streetfighting, never backs down from a challenge and plays with all kinds of physicality.
While his ability to play as a freight train in the lane stands out, Bowers also has some skill. He moves much quicker than you would expect, can handle the ball a bit and is a pretty good mid range jump shooter. He may not have quite the overall skill of former Michigan State star Draymond Green, but they do share some similarities in their game.
A four-star prospect, Bowers is the Seminoles first hoops commitment from the class of 2014. This weekend, they'll get their shot at another four-star when top 50 combo guard Robert Johnson makes his official visit to Tallahassee.
