Florida power forward makes decision

Palm Beach Gardens High School power forward Kyle Marks made his college decision tonight when he gave a verbal commitment to Nebraska after officially visiting Lincoln this weekend.
“I talked with the Nebraska coaches tonight and told them I was coming,” Marks said. “I knew after my visit that was where I wanted to go but I wanted to sit down and think about it for a while. Just make sure I didn’t rush into a decision.

“But I knew tonight that I was ready to get everything behind me so I could concentrate on my senior season. Nebraska was the perfect place for me and I’m happy with my decision.”
Marks a 6-foot-7, 205-pounder from Dwyer, Fla., said that his official visit this weekend was everything he had hoped for and more.
“Everything was great. When I got to the campus the players made me feel like I was already part of the team. We played ball and I liked how they handled me being on campus with them,” Marks said. “Also, the coaches were great. They have been honest with me throughout my recruitment and that’s something I’m looking for in a coaching staff.
“I think Nebraska is an up-and-coming program that I fit in nicely. If I work hard and come in ready to play I know the coaches are going to put me on the floor and give me a chance to play.”
This summer Marks played summer basketball with the Tallahassee Wildcats and attended the Adidas superstar camp.
