Florence to make official visit

One of the top prospects in the Peach State is in the home stretch of his recruitment. James Florence is in the middle of in-home visits and will make his second official visit this weekend.
Florence had an in-home visit with Boston University on Tuesday and Wofford is stopping by this week as well. On Friday, the three-star guard will travel to Tulane for his second official visit. Florence has already officially visited Mercer.

"Everyone says the same things about their schools like it is the perfect place for you but you can't know that until you get out there and see it," Florence said. "That is what I want to do. I want to see it first."
He said Duquesne and Boston could be the next schools he officially visits. Florence said he wants to have a decision by May but said he could pop before then.
"I've always said that if something just blows me away, then I'll pull the trigger," Florence said.
Boston, Duquesne, High Point, Jacksonville, Mercer, Tulane and Wofford round out his potential college home. Florence said he is looking for an opportunity as a freshman.
"I want to play early. That is one of the most important things right next to a good education," Florence said. "I want to find an opportunity to play."
Location could be a player as well.
"I'd like to stay in the Southeast," he said. "But if the right opportunity is there somewhere else, then I'll take it. I'd rather play in the Southeast though."
