One of the class 2017's breakout players this spring, Savion Flagg has established himself as a four-star prospect and one of the top wing players in the country.

A 6-foot-6 small forward from Alvin (Texas) High, Flagg has impressed with the Houston Defenders in the Under Armour Association and at high level camps like the NBPA Top 100 Camp. Thanks to Markell Johnson's move to the class of 2016, a spot opened up in the 2017 Rivals150 where Flagg now ranks No. 64 overall.

"It's been a great experience, I'm really humbled by it and I'm taking it all in," said Flagg. "I feel like the hard work is really paying off right now. Getting out there with all the top players and performing has been good."

With a sturdy build, long arms and plenty of athleticism, Flagg checks off all of the physical boxes. However, he's got legitimate game. He makes enough jumpers from deep to keep defenders honest, is a good passer and most of all he's a threat to grab a rebound and ignite transition opportunities.

"I feel like I'm really versatile," said Flagg. "I can get it off the rim, make a lot of things happen and really put pressure on the defense. I'm trying to work on my defense against all the really good players."

So far, Flagg has seen the campuses of Texas A&M and Rice and they've both offered. Other offers have come from programs like Texas, Northwestern, Wake Forest, Baylor, Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, Florida, Miami, Creighton and Purdue They all have a similar pitch.

"Coaches tell me I can come in and play a lot of big minutes," said Flagg. "Because I don't have just one position, they say that helps a lot."

For now, Flagg is pretty guarded about exactly which schools he likes the most. He admits that he has some in mind that are standing out but he's not quite ready to go public with his favorites. He will, at least, be cutting things down in a month or so.

"I am planning to cut down my list after July," said Flagg. "I'd like to get it down to five and everybody is still under consideration, I don't want to say one school or another has an advantage."
